2004 Estate Bottled Russian River Reserve Syrah
The 2004 Estate Bottled Reserve Syrah was produced
from a selection of barrels that showed the best aging potential.
The wine reflects the exceptional quality of the grapes grown on our
hillside estate vineyard at the winery.
The color is dark violet and the aromas range from
cherry to blackberry with peppery and smokey accents. On the palate,
the wine is rich and balanced with a long, jammy finish. Drinkable
now, the wine will mature gracefully over the next 8—10 years as the
generous tannins soften.
Versatile with food, Syrah pairs well with grilled red
meat dishes, duck, Mediterranean-style food (olive oil, garlic,
rosemary and thyme are its friends), as well as spicy food and
cheeses.

2005 Catie's Corner Russian River Viognier
The 2005 Viognier, as in previous years, is produced
from grapes grown on Catie's Corner Vineyard in the Russian River
Valley, a vineyard developed by Saralee Kunde.
Viognier (V-Own-Yeah) is an enjoyable white wine whose
grapes have thier origin in the Rhone Valley appellations of
Condrieu and Chateau Grillet. The 2005 Viogner has a complex nose of
apricot, peach, pear, citrus and wild flowers. The mouth feel is
harmoniously balanced between richness and lively acidity. The
finish is marked by long lasting flavors reflecting the fruity and
floral aromas. Food friendly, Viognier pairs well with fish, spicy
foods, Asian infusions, crab, lobster, rice pudding or just drink it
an an aperitif. Serve slightly chilled to enhance the fruit
characteristics of the wine.
The grapes were whole berry pressed and then fermented
in a stainless steel tank at low temperature to preserve the
varietal's aromas. The wine was aged in the tank on the fine lees to
build a rich mouth feel and crisp finish.
Winner of Silver Medals in the Tasters Guild
International Wine Competition and the San Francisco Chronicle North
of the Gate Wine Competition.

Christopher Creek Winery in the News!
In the April 20, 2006 edition of USA Today, Healdsburg was featured
in a travel article as a great place to visit. One of the five wineries
suggested by author Jerry Shriver is Christopher Creek Winery. We
are pleased to receive national recognition.
Wines to Drink Now
Periodically we offer recommendations on drinking
older vintages of Christopher Creek Wines. Here are suggestions to
consider:
- 2001-2003 Catie's Corner Viognier
- 1996-2000 Estate bottled Syrah
- 1993-1998 Estate Bottled Petite Sirah
- 1997-1998 Dry Creek Cabernet
These wines will not benefit from additional bottle
aging. Depending on the bottle of wine, decanting may be desirable.
If the wine appears closed, decanting is probably indicated.
