The 2005 Russian River Zinfandel is the Fall 2007 Cellar Club
Selection (for members choosing red wines only or all three wines).
We made this wine from grapes grown at two nearby vineyards, both
of which add to the complexity and taste of the wine. Thirty percent
are from a 2 acre plot of 80 year-old vines which are dry farmed and
have intermingled a few Alicante Bouschet and Carignane vines.
Seventy percent are from young but “old clone” Zinfandel vines. The
younger vines bring a subtle berry aroma and acidity, while the
older vines add the structure, concentration and intensity.
The wine is somewhat spicier than our Dry Creek Zinfandel due to
the cooler Russian River climate. This complex “primitivo styled”
wine is layered with ripe and jammy boysenberry, blackberry, prune
and currant fruits.
We recommend that you cellar this wine for a year. We
expect the wine to age well over the next 4-to-6 years.

Deux Barriques
Available for the Holidays
In 1998, we decided to make a very special wine in a
limited quantity from our two favorite grapes, Petite Sirah and
Zinfandel. The 2004 Deux Barriques is a marriage of two barrels
produced from grapes grown at two very special vineyards in the
Russian River Valley, our Block #4 Petite Sirah and an “old vine”
Zinfandel vineyard across the road.
Both barrels of wine are
selected for their intensity, structure, aging potential and true
fruit characteristics. The Petite and the Zinfandel compliment each
other producing a wine that is dark garnet in color with blueberry
fruit overtones and layered ripe, jammy boysenberry-blackberry fruit
with a full, creamy mouth feel. The Petite Sirah is aged in a French
Oak barrel for 18 months and the Zinfandel is aged in American Oak
Barrel for 18 months.
A delicious wine to serve with Lamb, Game Birds and
Turkey. This is a special wine to give as a gift or to drink with
family and friends this holiday season.

Fall Fest on the Eastside—
Saturday, October 27
11 am to 4 pm
Join Christopher Creek, Christie Vineyards, Foppanio Vineyards,
Rodney Strong Vineyards and Meitz Cellars for a Fall day in the wine
country, celebrating the Harvest and Halloween.
There is no charge but you will need to bring your own glass or buy
an event
glass for $5.00. No reservations are required. Bring your family and
friends. The wineries are located within blocks of each other,
either on Limerick Lane or Old Redwood Highway on the east side of
the Russian River. Each winery will be serving food as well as
offering special
wines or new releases.
At Christopher Creek we will be pouring a vertical of older
Zinfandels, the newly released 2005 Russian River Zinfandel, as well
as our 2005 Petite Sirah Port and 2006 “Catie’s Corner” Late Harvest
Viognier. It is a great time to begin your Christmas Shopping and
enjoy a Fall day in the wine country before the Holidays.
Fall Shipments for Cellar Club Members will be available for pickup
at this event.
Older Vintage Week—

Holiday Time is fast approaching again and at
Christopher Creek Winery we are ready to help you find the
special wine for a Holiday Dinner or Gift. Once a year we bring
back some of our older vintages to taste and buy as well as our
Big Bottles (magnums) of Petite Sirah, Syrah and Cabernet. For
your shopping convenience the tasting room will be open daily 11 am
to 5 pm (closed Thanksgiving Day). The Library wines and the Big
Bottles are available for purchase in limited quantities, so order
early. If you are unable to visit, orders can be placed by
phone, fax or e-mail. A description of the wines available and
prices can be found on the enclosed order form. Cellar Club
Members receive a 20% discount.
Winter Wineland—
Saturday, January 19 and
Sunday, January 20
10 am to 5 pm
Attend this Russian River Wine Road Event with more
than 100 wineries participating. Be the first to Barrel Sample the
2007 Christopher Creek Petite Sirah as well as our Syrah and Dry
Creek Zinfandel at this event. We will also be serving food.
“Futures” will be available for purchase. Tickets are available
two months before the event by either calling (800) 723-6336 or

Barrel Weekends—
Saturday/Sunday, March 1 &2
and
Saturday/Sunday, March 8 &9
11 am to 4 pm
Spend either the first weekend in March or the second
weekend in March in Northern Sonoma County and barrel sample wines
at 100+ wineries. Futures will be available for purchase at
Christopher Creek. There is a $20 charge each weekend for this event
which includes a glass and wrist band. You can purchase the tickets
at the first winery you visit. At Christopher Creek we will be
serving food as well.
We will be open on Friday, Feb 29 & Friday, March 7
if you want to beat the crowds.
